Because this is technically fanart(the "stand" idea), I would like to post this disclaimer: The idea of "Stands" is an original idea by Hirohiko Araki and I am in no way affiliated with the creation of this idea; I'm just a fan.
There is a story behind this: I was watching the Series 5 JoJo's Bizzare Adventure video game Let's Play and it got to the point where, in the description box, the LPer wanted to know that if the viewers had a stand what would it be and how would it be the spiritual manifestation of your soul(which is what a stand is) so here's mine, along with a ranking list of it's abilities like in the Manga(NOTE: I changed quite a bit from the youtube video comment I gave as upon retrospect I realized a few things): I consider myself one who loves to make people I don't like have a hard time and the best way I know how to would be the art of illusion. Fighting someone directly isn't what I'm good at because of my weak strength, so this stand of indirect attack would be perfectly fitting. My stand's ability is simple: It can manipulate the way light reflects and bends around surfaces. This means that I can make myself completely invisible by bending the light around me as well as making it so my enemies can't differentiate between colors and hues. I could also make them see things that aren't actually there, making fighting me even more difficult. My stand isn't physically strong by any means, but makes up for this by being very intelligent, much like myself. It is also dangerously fast with it's flurry of punches and it's ability has a range of at least 10 meters and at most 20 meters. As long as I will for the light altering effects to be there, then they will remain. All of this hopefully would be enough to make up for my lack of physical strength; getting hit by me would be the same as being hit with a slow moving ball. Considering my stands abilities, strengths, and weaknesses, I have given it the name: Electric Light Orchestra Power: E Speed: A Range: A (10-20 meters) Staying: A (As long as Will exists) Precision: B Learning: B Will Color later...maybe, I dunno. |

For example:
My stand, Electric Light Orchestra, is a stand that can manipulate light to whatever I need it to be. This may seem like it could be extremely overpowered, but because of it's low range(considering that 20 meters is barely enough room to make a clean getaway) and extremely low strength, it has barely any practical use in battle or for retreat. This reflects myself in that I may seem intimidating due to my harsh personality, but really I'm quite weak and powerless. It also reflects who I am because I am the kind of person who likes to screw with people's grasp of reality: hence, I can control what they see.
Determining your stand's ability(keep in mind this is all fictional), you have to look at yourself on a deep and emotional level. Who are you? What kind of person are you? Finding your stands' power should be much like looking in a mirror in a way: It's still you, just in a different form.
